The La Leona Diares: Capturing a Historical Instrument with 013 FETS

Antonio de Torres is considered by many to be one of the most influential Spanish guitar makers of all time. His designs combined innovations of the time to set a new precedent still followed by builders today.

In 1856 Torres built “La Leona”, the only guitar he would ever name and the only guitar he would personally keep throughout his liftetime.

In this series, La Leona Diaries, renowned classical guitarist, Wulfin Lieske, delivers mesmerizing performances and documents a journey to discover what makes this instrument so unique and meaningful for the history of the guitar until today.

The Soyuz 013 small diaphragms were chosen as the tool to capture this remarkable sound in all it’s dimension and glory.
