Over the last decade, the Soyuz 017 FET has earned a reputation as a standout modern classic. We’ve been blown away hearing this mic featured on countless records, productions, and performances.
As one of our original flagship microphones, we’ve given an update to the packaging and presentation and have included new accessories for expanded flexibility with a wider variety of uses. Those with 017 FETS currently, fear not, the mic itself is exactly the same in every way!
The previous single mic box has been upgraded to a custom, handmade, oak suitcase providing a much more elegant way to store and travel with your 017 FET while keeping all the accessories together.
We’ve updated the original shockmount to fit neatly in the case (making it slightly shorter in height) and have included an extra “hard mount” for simpler setups and fine tuning mic placement in tight spaces.
A matching -20db pad is now included. This previously was one of the most commonly requested after-market accessories and much more versatility to the 017. Try at as a close mic on howling amplifiers or any high SPL source and it’s an absolute dream.
The 017 FET is completely hand-machined from solid brass and utilizes our original, handmade capsule and custom toroidal transformer. The sound strikes a musical balance of depth, presence, and flattering silkiness. No matter what else is in your mic locker, the 017 will complement any source with a distinct feel and original character.
