After popular demand, we are pleased to now offer the 1973 Deluxe. This upgraded version ships in a custom oak suitcase hand-made in-house along with a custom-designed shock mount and hard mount for extra stability.
The 1973 is completely hand-machined and uses a version of the same custom, handmade capsule found in our beloved 023 Bomblet. Using a transformerless circuit, the 1973 captures every sound with realistic detail that feels honest but never sterile. Inside the mic, a unique resonator is used to tune out unwanted resonances and frequencies similar to how acoustic room treatment may be used to improve the sound in your studio. A switchable -10 and -20dB pad allows for total flexibility so whether you’re recording delicate vocals or throwing it up in front of a kick drum, the 1973 has you covered.
It’s a blank slate that naturally adapts to your signal chain allowing you to be as clean or colored as you desire.
