An IR, short for impulse response, is an audio recording that captures the distinctive sound qualities of a device, acoustic setting, or playback system. Initially, IRs were employed to replicate specific acoustic environments in reverb processors — they allowed the use of renowned venues such as the Sydney Opera House as studio reverbs for the very first time.
Who is Joey Burcham?
Joey Burcham is a producer, mixer, and musician based in Nashville. Originally drawn there to pursue a career as a guitarist, he soon found his passion shifting from the stage to the recording studio. In March of 2021, Joey founded Roo Studios, a testimony to his creativity. Since then, his songs have been featured on global platforms such as MTV, BBC Radio 1, Clash Magazine, and Spotify New Music Friday, showcasing his continuous musical evolution.
